Maroš Klimpl (born 4 July 1980) is a Slovakian football midfielder playing with Aris Limassol.
In July 2009, he joined Football League Championship side Cardiff City on trial.[2] On 31 August 2009, he agreed a deal to join Scottish First Division side Dundee.[3] On 4 May 2010, he was informed along with 3 other players that he was no longer wanted and was free to look for another club.[4] On 28 June 2010, it was announced that he has been released from his contract.[5] He subsequently rejoined Viktoria Žižkov for the 2010/2011 season. In February 2011 after a successful trial Klimpl signed with Serbian club FK Sloboda Point Sevojno.[6]
He is also a member of the Slovak national football team and holds nineteen games. He is known to his friends and team mates as 'The Rock' as he has a big presence in the heart of midfield.[7]
